Laura Moignard MCC, RPC
Hi, I'm Laura! With over 8 years of experience in counselling, coaching and mentorship, I've been privileged to support adults, children, and families through life's twists and turns. My background with various non-profit agencies, as well as as a school counsellor, has sharpened my skills in helping parents and children tackle difficult challenges, transitions, and losses. I hold a Master's degree, as well as a membership with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA) and The Association of Counselling Therapy of Alberta (ACTA).
My deepest passion lies in guiding others on a transformative journey of self-discovery, creating space for your story and experiences to be shared, exploring emotions, and nurturing the relationships we share with both others and ourselves. I cherish the opportunity to walk along side you, share new perspectives, help strengthen the bonds between parents and children, cultivate hope and inner peace amidst life's struggles and losses, and help parents navigate the complexities of parenthood with a heartfelt sense of warmth and nurture. When it comes to empowering people of all ages to navigate life's complexities with resilience and empathy, I'm all in.
In my sessions, I use a person-centred, evidence-based approach where clients can freely express their thoughts and feelings. Just like turning a kaleidoscope, exploring different angles of our experiences can reveal unexpected beauty and potential. By gently shifting perspectives, I help clients uncover new pathways, patterns and possibilities in their lives, guiding them towards growth and discovery.
Outside of work, I thrive on learning, adventure, and nature's beauty. I cherish cuddles with my cat, losing myself in baking, and coming home to my loving husband and our wonderful three-and-a-half year-old daughter.
